Many people consider the number seven to be a lucky number. Everyone has heard of the lucky 7 associated with games and gambling, a luck that comes and goes and is for the most part unreliable.
On the other hand, in many cultures the 7 is associated with the spiritual life, where it receives a high degree of respect. Though they seem to share a common number, luck and spirituality are two entirely different things, yet many people associate the 7 with luck in worldly matters. For those who have read my article The Desecration of Spirituality, you already know how I feel about spirituality in the material world.
The 7 is associated with spirituality because it is the number that represents the inner life, reflection, thinking, analysis, study, isolation, meditation. It has no bearing whatsoever on winning the lottery, getting a big job, or anything of a material nature. There are some cultures, particularly Eastern cultures, in which spirituality is highly valued, even revered above material accomplishment. This is not the case in Western society, which is above all else materialistic and focused on consumerism.
When the 7 is active in your numerology chart, either through your name numbers, or your date numbers, (pinnacle, personal year, personal month), you are likely to feel, at the very least, pulled to turn your attention inwards, to spend a little quiet time by yourself, maybe pick up a book, perfect your skills. In this quiet time, you may feel inspired as to how to deal with some of the circumstances in your life.
This does not mean however that this is the time to go out and manifest and make money and seek success in the world. The 7 is the number of reflection, study, and specialization. In a way, it is a required step before one seeks success in the world, for in order to attain success you need to tap into your potential. Your potential comes from within. The 7 will take you within.
I have seen many clients struggle during 7 periods, complaining that things aren’t moving fast enough, that they’re not making money, that they are not attaining the success they had hoped for. They are feeling lonely and isolated, and often confused. They are disappointed that there affirmations aren’t working, or that they are not able to manifest with intention, fully believing they have tapped into their inner Selves. This is a reflection of how outward bound Western thinking is. Repeating affirmations, although at times helpful, is not a spiritual process. It is a mental, intellectual activity. The same with focusing with intention on one’s goals. That is mental, not spiritual.
Although the inner life can greatly contribute to healthy outward expression, it is not an external process. As such, it requires a certain amount of trust in something that is intangible, a higher self, a guide, or whatever symbol represents greater wisdom for you. Those who can truly accept the guidance that comes from having a healthy and active inner life, find that the outer life not only seems to flow more easily, it also takes care of itself. A 7 period is an ideal time for cultivating and developing the inner life.
Being in a number 7 Personal Month, I will go to my yoga room now and indulge in a nice long meditation
