Luck by the Numbers

cloverThey say that on St. Patrick’s Day, everyone is Irish! But, is everyone lucky? It is also said that we make our own luck, but, what exactly does that mean? To my understanding, it is those people who take advantage of their resources, skills, assets and trends that are the most successful, or that appear to be the most “lucky.” This means that, essentially, success is more a matter of self knowledge and self respect than about luck. A confident, self aware person can turn a challenging, and even seemingly impossible situation into an opportunity for growth and learning. Now that’s making your own luck! Let’s see how the numbers can help you increase your luck and success potential this year by taking full advantage of the opportunities available in your Personal Year number.

To calculate your Personal Year number, first reduce the numbers of your birthday and month and the calendar year to a single digit, then calculate the sum of these three numbers. For example, for a birthday on June 12th, calculate the Personal Year for 2010 as follows:

  1. Birth Month: June, 6th month
  2. Birth Day: 12, 1 + 2 = 3
  3. Calendar Year: 2010, 2 + 0 + 1 + 0 = 3
  4. Add the results for the Month, Day and Year: 6 + 3 + 3 = 12.
  5. Reduce the total to a single digit: 1 + 2 = 3. The Personal Year number for 2010 is 3.

Each of the 9 years has its own climate and tendencies. Much like planting tomatoes in June is more likely to produce a healthy harvest than planting them during a January frost, choosing activities that are appropriate for your current trends will increase your chances of success during that year. Let’s see how you can take advantage of your trends for this year.
