This is an exceptionally easy and versatile recipe. Change it up for the holidays by adding cranberries, make it with mixed nuts and seeds or make it granola. Too easy not to try.

Ingredients
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup nuts, or 1 cup granola
2 tablespoons chopped peanuts, or coconut, for topping (optional)
Pinch of salt (optional)
*Or mix of almonds, cashews, pistachios, coconut, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds. Also nice with cranberries, raisins or chopped dried apricots.

Line cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Coarsely chop nuts and fruit (if using), as needed.
Melt chocolate until mostly melted in double boiler. Remove from heat. Stir until completely melted.
Stir nuts, seeds and fruit (if using) into melted chocolate.
Spread mixture over parchment paper. Sprinkle with topping (optional).
Refrigerate until hard, about 30 minutes.
Remove from parchment paper; break into pieces.
