Okay, I have a secret to reveal: when I heard that Field Roast products were no longer going to be available in Canada, I kinda stocked up…. In honour of the good news–Field Roast has returned to Canada!–I pulled one of my precious sausages out of the freezer and made one of my favourite dishes: bean stew!
Grains & beans constitute everyday fare for me, and let me tell you that everyday fare needn’t be dull or boring. By the same token, delicious and exciting dishes needn’t be complicated to make. This dish is so simple to make that it doesn’t require a recipe, but I have one, just in case: Black Bean Stew. Just replace the black beans with pinto beans, or any bean of your choice! I used a hot & spicy chipotle sausage for this stew. Feel free to add more to taste, and vary the veggies and the sausages!
